Qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist
Are you an empathic, committed, qualified counsellor or psychotherapist, looking to expand your clinical experience in a well-established community counselling service?
Although many of our counsellors have qualified via our own BACP-accredited psychodynamic training, we welcome applications from those qualified in other modalities, so long as you understand/are sympathetic towards the psychodynamic approach.
Some of our qualified counsellors have progressed to paid roles within the Service, such as mentors and personal tutors to our counsellors in training and clinical supervisor.

Wanted for September 2020, to work with trainee counsellors
on our BACP Accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
Chichester Counselling Services is looking to appoint to its team of clinical supervisors who work with counsellors in our thriving community counselling service. We are particularly looking for training supervisors to work with our trainee counsellor groups (up to 4 trainee counsellors per group, 1.5hr per week, minimum 42 weeks per year) for next academic year, starting in September 2020. There may also be additional opportunities to work with our qualified counsellor groups (up to 5 counsellors per group, 2hr fortnightly).
Training supervisors play a crucial role at CCS, contributing towards both the clinical work of the service and the personal and professional development of our trainee counsellors. In addition to weekly supervision, training supervisors are also involved in termly meetings of the CCS training team and the assessment of individual students, including termly tutorials. Experience of working with counsellors at the early stages of their career will therefore be a particular advantage. In addition, applicants should have:
COVID-19: Under the current circumstances all CCS counselling, supervision, training and meetings are taking place at distance (telephone and online); we will be returning to face to face work at our offices in central Chichester when this is possible.
Remuneration: Supervision groups at £35 per hour; standard meeting rate of £36 per meeting.
How to apply: To apply, download and complete a job application form and return with a covering letter to email@example.com by Friday 3rd July. Informal inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview in July.
